Clio 172 or 172 Cup with a/c

Ok im selling my Scooby Sti Type UK and Ive been looking at a 172.

Should I go for the Cup with air con or a standard 172 sport

  Golf 1.4 TSI

I HAVE A 172 IF YOU WANNA SWAP. SERIOUSLEY I WOULD GO FOR THE CUP. AFTER OWNING A 172 I THINK IT I A BIT ON THE HEAVY SIDE COMPARED TO A CUP. BUT HEY IF YOU WANT MORE COMFORT A 172 IS FINE. ME I WANT MORE SPEED AND LESS COMFORT. JUST A THOUGHT:)

Personally...not wanting to knock the 172 (I love mine) I would keep the scooby....or you could give it to me?!?!:D

gary - suppose it comes down to whether youre bothered about ABS?

all the other stuff are creature comforts - and that all depends on whether you want them or not.

ABS is a bit more of an emotive subject though.

Since when can you get a Cup with air con???
I assume Climate Control is not Air Conditioning. People should be made aware of this before ordering a car which can be automatically set to the coolest possible temperature inside, yet still not very cool.

What? you being silly again?

No idea what the option is on the Cup but Climate Control is the same as A/C, gives you the option to dial in the temp you wish and the system will constantly adjust the cooling level and blower motors to maintain the level.

The 172s climate control only goes down to 16 (then has min which is COLD) but id prefer the range to be something like 14-24 instead of the 16-26.

Personally I like my 172 and the leather seats. Im not a true racer but love track days. I think the hardest thing for me to lose would be the seats. Ive used the ABS on a couple of occasions.

The cup blue is nice so if thats the colour you wanted then it would have to be a cup.

AirCon just cools/heats the car. Climate control adjusts the temp to what has been chosen. Climate control is much better as its a kind of "set it and forget it" type thing.

Also, why are you getting rid of the STi? They are nice cars.

Not being silly just being my thick self LOL.

I went on the Renault site and picked a 172. Then I clicked on the air con option and my choice then change into a Dynamique? Did the same when I tried to choose air con for a Cup?

PS my other cars have air con with electronic climate control.

stupid thing that car configurator

very confusing use the price list

My dealer says the Cup is not available with Climate and the brochure backs this up.

Where do people get the info that you can get Climate with a Cup?

Im Selling the sti because

The Finance is too much

The fuel consuption at best is 26/27, Averaging 20 on my daily comute.

Insurance has ranged from 860 - 1300

Fancied a Cheapish quick car.

I have only driven a 172 Sport for about 20mins on a Test drive without a dealer, but I had a grin just like when I drove my first Subauru Impreza RB5
