CLIO 172 PH 1 BONNET PROBLEM

Hey guys after have some work done on my ph1 in a garage my bonnet now takes ages to clip shut properly and when i got to work today it was open when i got out! Does anybody know the exact cause of this as im lost due to the fact that it locks then releases itself on its own! Handle in footwell is pushed back after release and i have to manually slide the locking mechanism across to get the bonnet to catch! Help please as i dont want this to smash my screen eventually

has it had the catch replaced? there was a re-call on them.
just book it in with renault

I expect the cable outer is just worn, common problem. Replace the cable, grease the catch and you'll be fine.

Cheers lads, phoned renault and its never had the recall so its booked in friday, ill let u know how it goes wether they accept there liability or say its something else

Try unbolting the 2 bolts for the bonnet latch mechanism and recentering it, if it's not been lined up it will cause your issue.
