clio 172 Ph2 starting issue

Hi, my car had stalled the other night and would not start again not even turn over but all the dash lights and stuff would come on as normal. So set about giving some of the relay connectors and stuff a bit of a clean and gave the wires a little shake and it started up after mabye about an hour.

After that when i got home it was starting no problem, the next day i was out and came back to my car and it wouldnt start the car was slightly warm still and i think this has got something to do with it.

In the morning when cold it will start no problem but if i have been driving and then stop it wont start but it will bump start still. When its cold though if i start it then stop then start it again it will do it a few times then it just wont start as if something has heated up or so ??

Hi there, i had the same/similar prob with my Ph1, it turned out to be a sticky starter moter, it takes some getting to but i used the towing eye just to give it a good tap and this cured the prob, it does have a heat shield covering it but it just pulls off, try it next time it wont start and if it starts after a little tap it could be your prob,
