CLIO 172 PHASE 1!

Hey Guys, jus wondering if you could help me. I have CLIO 172 P1 2000 model and have some moddin plans. I want to increase BHP to possibly 200 bhp , have a more smoothe ride and want to get rid of those big massive fog lights and replace with smaller ones as i feel they luk 2 big.

I also want the engine manifold painted and want to know if this is safe to do it myself?

Would appreciate if some1 could help.

Hey, erm tha mileage at mo is 90k. Is it safe to paint engine manifold and brake pads?

it is safe to paint the engine cover, and the engine inlet... just use high temp paint, it isn't difficult to tell which is more appropriate, it's common sense really

and painting calipers you mean, not pads surely?

if so yes, again use a paint with high heat resistance attributes.

Your also going to need to put at least £2000 into getting your car to 200bhp!

and i proberly wouldnt start doing it on a 90k mile engine without a decent refresh

id just go for a remap on that mileage...i have on mine which has done 105k and its knocking out 177.2bhp at the fly

High miles isnt a problem with these. As already shown, they can take serious grunt on stock internals with 100+ k's on the clock

Don't go chasing figures mate. Small and subtle mods will increase the grin factor, which is what its all about..
