I was just thinking about values and supply and demand etc after reading about 172 prices. And I'm bored waiting for the pub to open again.lol.
The Clio's are quite a sought after car (hence why the Mk1 172 prices have steadied a little) thanks in no small part to excellent magazine reviews wherever they were tested. It's hard to find a review on any of the Renaultsport Clios that isn't complimentary.
Anyway, what got me thinking was that when people on here ask how much thier car is worth, people always reply with the answer for the bottom book or at least lower than the seller had hoped. Usually they say the price they would pay for it, not what they think you ought to get ( OK so the residuals are still sh*t, but bear with me).
I was wondering if there were enough owners on here to actually effect the market price of the cars?
There were'nt that many made - about 1351 mk1's (compared to 2390 Cups and 3048 mk2 172's) - so this site has quite a large 'market share' if you will.
Sounds daft, but I want 8k for my 172 and need your help. LOL.
