clio 172 throttle bodies

I am living in Ireland,

found a guy over here who said he can do the work on my clio, but says that I should just ask around for the best equipment...

He says that even if buy all the bits seperate, it is ok with him.

Am looking and hoping for good value, but reliability and functionality are also very important.

apart from the shocking cast, mild steel pressed joints and the manifold that takes hours upon hours to CNC :rasp:

mines going in to gdi next weekend for full throttles, cams, omex, 36,000 service plus other bits so try giving them to ring.

yeah m8 full throttle boddies is ITB`s, i`ll keep ya all updated, should be done about 2-3 weeks l8r, can`t bloody wait.

Jim, ITB's just means individual throttle bodies, but if you look at say a Williams they are paired due to the design of the head, which is why F7R owners tend to chop it in for a Megane one as its easier.

Andy will be taking pics as he does the work, he does this with every engine conversion he does, there's millions from when mine was done back int' day

Stu, just had a thought mate, I'm working all weekend, but taking the Wednesday off to head down there, so when I'm on the way back fancy meeting up and you can take it out for a drive?

Jim, tbh there's one simple solution in my mind. There's the folk that talk and brag about doing things, then there's the people actually going ahead and doing them. Real world testing goes a long way, hence why I have so much respect for Andy, he's happy to demo anything to show people first hand what the cars are capable of. As you know, I'm VERY wary of whom I give my hard earned to these days! lol

do you guys think that going gettin everything seperate would be a better way to go? I see that K-tek has a complete system, but by the looks of whats written, may not offer as much power up? if to buy each component seperate what do I need?

I'd love to, but it seems that you may need specific induction kit to suit throttle bodies? after that I know I need an ECU but which one?

feel like a novice, but usually just leave skilled men to do work and I do the driving...

The k tec tb's ( Motor Huger) are Jenvey derived but only one set was ever sold and that person never saw fit to report back.lol
