Clio 172 Towbar ?

Hi guys, i know its wrong to put a towbar on the back of a 172, but needs must.
Has any1 on here put 1 on them selves ?, if so does a normal clio towbar fit the 172.

No idea.. But I just fitted a detachable Witter towbar to my X5 and it was a CVNT!!!!

I Could be completely wrong, But I thought the clio sport was never tested for towing therefore making it illegal to tow with it?

ummm sure the weight of it is so little you could only pull next to nothing...

There is a 172 with a tow bar that lives very near my girlfriends house, see it all the time. God knows what you could tow with it!

just a motorbike trailer, it should easily be able to manage that i rekon

I tried but was going to have cut the bumper so stuck it on my with Clio. It fitted no problem on a 1.2

i dont mind cutting the bumber, but was it just a standard clio tow bar you were going to use ?
