hi all i have recently came back to the world of clios after been absent for 2yrs. i was trawling through the forum and various dealers to find the right car for me.
on the 19th march i went to view an arctic blue one at dtm cars. from the pictures it looked clean as a whistle and i was excited to get in and have a test drive. but before i could do that i noticed a little black gold one in the corner. looked a little bit tatty around the edges but as far as i was told it had a awesome engine.
this is her the morning after i drove her
i picked her up on the sat 22nd spec when i bought the car were as follows
Clio 182 BG full fat
78000 and having a full belt and dephaser change in the last two days its second belts change
full service history (renault dealer and renault specialists)
12 moths mot (no advisors)
6 month tax
scorpion srn019 exhaust system
apex lowering springs
skoda splitter
pressed plates
i immediately starting buying little cosmetic bits and pieces, like flat windscreen deflectors, new led sidelights new led rear number plate cluster to make the car have a really clean look. i also bough the new style Renault badge which i think finishes off the rear or the car.
i then treated the car to a good clean using mer shampoo, followed by a full polish, sealant and wax coats. using poorboys brings the car up amazing
though it looked a million dollars.
i then set off to enjoy my car, with 900miles under its belt in nearly three weeks it has been a pleasure to own. and the engine is VERY strong. looking to get it rolling roaded at the end of the month to see what the power is like at the minute so i can see what i have to work with.
as i mentioned before i wanted the car looking really clean so i a bough a new rear number plate bulb holder as the old was was minging and had broken clips
will get some night time shots to show the lighting of the car off.
since then i have bought various bits and pieces
such as a uprated dog bone mount
headlight restoration kit
k&n panel filter
currently getting things for a brake upgrade so far the brake spec is ferrodo ds2500 pads with superblue racing fluid and brembo high carbon brakes
will be getting all these fitted in the next week or so but i am still waiting on door bullets curtsy of the spray shack and braided lines i will upload photos when i get them
a few pics so far of the little clio
and that takes us up to where i am today.
over the next few months i want the car to be running on turinis, maybe recaros installed, carbon wing mirrors, updated tires (michelin pilot sports 3xl) and then i will have the car i want.
i will try and get a few more pics up in the next few days as i have added a few more little touches to the car but will get your opinion on them when the pics are uploaded
any feedback is welcome (good or bad) and any ideas on what i can do aswell
sorry for the massive pictures i have no idea how to make them smaller
thanks for reading
