Clio 182 emmisions fault

Hello, new member here :)

I recently had someone run into the back of my Clio 182 which resulted in a new back portion on my exhaust.
I have driven the car for approx 200 miles without any issue but then on my drive home from work this evening I noticed a distinct lack of power and the exhaust emissions warning light started flashing.

The problem I have is do I take this to a Renault specialist and pay to have the engine management system checked out or go back to the garage who carried out the ensured work and ask them to look at it under warranty? I'm sure they will only work on a specific problem with the exhaust but without the management check how will the problem be diagnosed?

Thanks for any responces in advance

Could be coincidental , but it does sound possible that there is a problem further up your exahust after your rear ender . Sounds like either a possible fault with your lambda sensor or maybe even the join between the exhaust between your catalytic convertor and exhaust system . You'll need to run it into the garage and get it hooked up to a diagonostic machine really to find the cause of the fault .

take it to your repairer they should plug it in and find the fault for free, if you take it to renault its £75 just to do this, then depending on the fault the repairer might be liable to fix it

I'd take it to Renault....the diagnostics fee is high but they will give you the exact issue going on....if they fail you can ask them to re-check the car again and again...
