Clio 182 Headlight Sprays, dirty headlght housing

  Titanium Clio 182
How can I clean it, i've not tried yet, but they look stained due to the washers. Hopefully it will just wipe off, but knowing my luck it will be scratched. Pic below.

What are we actually supposed to be looking at ? For a start the pics a bit dark . Where do you think the staining is , on the outside ?? If its on the outside try wiping it mate , you'll soon see if its scratched .

Its calcium from hard water, give them a good rub with a soft cloth soaked in vinegar.

Use distilled water in your washer bottle, you obviously live in a hard water area, whats your kettle like on the inside ?

Our water is soft. I usually use ready used screen wash so it might be from that. I don't know, i'll try the vinigar suggestion at the weekend. I hope it works as its looks crap.

Meguiars PlastX did a good job on mine. Admittedly I used a PC but if you're up for aching arms it also works by hand.

Polishing something so small would get painful quite quickly!

They also do a separate plastic cleaner and polish.

PlastX is available in Halfords. It's a good product with diminishing abrasives.

Having said that, even Autoglym Super Resin Polish would be worth a go.
