Clio 182 lumpy on tick over

Car  Renault Clio 182
Merry Xmas Everyone,

Can you please help me with my Clio 182? It is lumpy on tick over and it feels like the car is rocking. When idle for a few minutes the engine management light starts to flash, but once you start to drive it goes off.

I'm hoping its as simple as a plug change, but knowing my luck it won't be. Any help would be much appreciated

John

Hard to say for sure without seeing I'm afraid but a good place to start would be check the plug wells aren't full of water/oil. After this its likely to be an injector, coil, plug or H02 sensor issue which you will need help with to pin point.

Hey, having same thing with my 182 trophy atm. Got diagnostics on it and comes up with error code relating to 'multiple cylinder misfire'. I presume plugs or coil pack. Let you know when I have time to check. Keep me posted on yours too!

But is that a present fault or an historic fault? This is why CLIP is simply the best setup to put any Renault on as you can check each cylinder for missfires in real time to see if it's a genuine current fault.

Hi there, have you managed to find the cause to your fault? I have changed the plugs but it's still the same. A friend thinks it could be the dephaser pulley due to the multiple cylinder misfire, but I'm not sure

Had the same on my 182, thought it was the pre cat lambda so changed that (it wasn't). Turned out it was a faulty injector, so replaced all four for peace of mind.
