Picked up my 182 today, and oh my god it is fricking awesome! :D

Everything about it is amazing, handling, speed, economy. The car is everything and more than what I expected.
Just love it!

I think it is pretty safe to say this car will be staying for a good amount of time, actually can't wait until tomorrow so I can drive to work!!!

I'll try and get some tomorrow. Needs some Eibachs and a splitter, and then some silver visions and it will do for now!

It is amazing, wasn;t sure how I would react to it, but I think it's safe to say after my short stint in a german car (which was awesome but something was missing) I am definately at home in a rattly french matchbox :D

The insurance at 19 is definately worth it!

No mate left that one.
I've got an 05 Silver with cup packs. Done 35k miles, just had the 36k service with aux belt, FRSH. I love it!

Was shocked at the speed I could carry through the bends compared to the Lupo and my lowered 1.2 (gay comparrison i know!) without even trying!

There's a happy man! I just can't bare to part with mine 3 or is it 4 years on. I used to chage my car every year tops. it does do my head in tho, from time to time

Yeah, did about 100 miles in it today, and it is just perfect!
Hopefully got a set of eibach springs on the way, then I'll get a cheaper good splitter on the front, and job done!

Don't think it will be going for a good amount of time, i just love it!

I can recommend prolines. lowers the car a tad, enough to notice, handles better and speedbumps are NO problem.

I'm after the sportlines in the for sale section at the minute, I want a subtle drop, just slightly lower than the pros.

I wouldn't bother to be honest, but having the car on a modified policy drops the insurance by £250, and the springs are £150 tops so I end up quids in!

What flux said on the phone was, out of 100 182's they insure, maybe 20% would be modified, so of the standard and modified cars that were claimed upon, the ratio was in the favour of modified ones, so they are classed as lower risk.

(figures made up just as an example)

Strange that because I'm with them and when I signed up they asked if I was a member of any club and told them CS.

Told me because of that (without proof) i saved around £100-120 can't remember.

Never asked me about being a member of a car club :S

I think it just varies who you speak to in all honesty.

Must age, location..... declared my cat back and they asked if I had an induction kit, like it wouldn't have cost any more at the time too.
Will look into that next time round but suspect your £250 will be about £30 for me:(

It's a great feeling isn't it going froma 1.2 to a 2.0! I've not had mine two weeks yet (granted, it's a 172) but I've gone the long way home after work EVERY DAY! I just love catching peoples heads turn in my rear view mirror as I give it some beans. My favourite one is passing or pulling up along side kids in badly modded Clios who think they're the daddy. I'm with you on the comments about keeping it for the long term. Why look at anything else?!

  Clio 182.
Youll get bored. Im of the opinion, that no matter what car i get, or how much i love it, ill always crave something different within a few months :(

Last month i craved build quality, and an end to rattles. This month im craving a car that is stupid fast.

I had my Lupo GTi for a few months inbetween, I didn't expect the Clio to feel this much faster than it does, but f**k me it is mental!

Got some bits to go on it over the next few days, can't wait!

  RB 200 Cup!

Ditto. Picking it up from Renault tonight and then on with the bits and bobs! I've already got a K-Tec C/F on it from the other week, new number plates from fancyplates.com are sitting under my desk for attachment and last night I ordered a set of silvatecs. i just love how there are there are little things to do to these cars that make such a difference for not alot of money! Next up is a BMC CDA if I can find one at a decent price... ;)

everyones the same when they first get one of these cars. But now one year on it doesnt feel as fast as it once was. Getting used to the power only make u want something else, something newer. Ill see you in one year :D

Haha, pics will come when I get them off my camera!

So far I have just put a pug 307 splitter on the front, so finishes it off nicely! Got a set of eibach's coming asap, and 2 new PE2's on tuesday when they are delivered.

Need to get some silver indicators and then the car will be looking sweet!

Once those bits are done I'll be getting a few small marks and stonechips taken out, then it will be a full PC'ing session and keeping it 100% mint :D

Thanks to renault crashing my car (okay, they scraped it!) I'm having a whole new front bumper & spray free of charge! Six years of stone chips and scuffs - GONE! I am paying them to do the bonnet though but couldn't have one without the other really.
