Clio 182 oil

  SLK 350
Its either, will run on semi or fully synthetic. Fully synthetic is better suited to the engine though. You don't have to use 5-40w either, it can be 0-40w or 10-40w too.

Choice is yours :)

You'll also find a lot of people are brand snobs with oil, personally any good brand of oil will be suitable (it's not a Ferrari engine despite what people think) so Castrol/Fuchs/Silkolene/Duckhams/Elf or any other good brand will be fine.

Also a point to mention if you don't fancy getting you hands dirty, National tyres do a good deal on oil and filter changes. Will drain, change filter and give you 5L of synthetic for £30, which you'd be struggling to buy the oil for...

I bought some carlube fully synth the other day. At the end of the day, oil is oil pretty much, and like ozzy said, its not a ferrari.

  BMW 330d :)
5w 40 is whats recommended by renault. I wouldnt bother putting any other type of oil in as it will increase engine wear.

  182 Full Fat
Why does Silkolene cost £40odd then if Renault sell the Elf for only £22.50? Can't be that different can they?

You can use 10-40 so long as the outside temperature doens't drop below -20 degrees you can use 15 weight of so long as temperatures don't get below -15 degress.
10-40 is a good weight to use though for most people.
