Clio 182 Service Plan options

Hello,

My car is due its 6 year service soon (only done 25K) and when I called Renault to ask them to quote for a service according to manufacturers schedule, they replied that for all cars over 3 years old they do a silver (£99), Gold (£149) and Platinum (£199) service.

They suggested that I go for a silver service which is fine, then they said it would cost an extra £20 to change the oil because it is a Renaultsport.

What happened to Renault standard servicing, or this new approach better value for money?

Any help/advice appreciated.

Cheers

iirc its only a minor service (oil, filters etc) as it should of had the major 5yr/72k last year.

Our local Renault dealer has just started doing these Silver, Gold and Platinum service plans. Assuming you had your belts done last year, I'd think the Silver would be fine.

Had the belts done at 5 year point with 20K on the clock. Why don't Renault stick with the old fashioned service schedule for the car rather than introduce colour coding service jobbies that don't quite tick all the boxes, i.e Renaultsport oil supplement extra, spark plugs extra etc etc, hey ho, there you go. Cheers for the replies.

Probably a way of getting more custom by advertising base prices but adding extras...

Boils my blood.

EDIT: should Renault KNOW what your car is due... :dead:
