Clio 182 Track / 1/4 mile road car project

I thought its time to start a thread for my clio 182 project. Abit of history on the car as i purchased it a couple of months ago. The clio is a full fat 182 and had cover 69k miles with all the back up and proof. The modifications on the vehicle as i collected it are: Milltek cat back, K&N filter, Matched inlets, Eibach sportline springs all round, Whitelime Arb, solid engine mounts, sabelt renaultsport steering wheel and speedline corse wheels with toyo tr1 tyres.

Plans/aims for the car are as follows:

• Good trackday car that can be driven to the event used properly and then return me home after.
• Modifications wise, i plan to have a milltek decat fitted soon and then mapped at engine dynamics by Andy to match the car to the modifications and raise the rev limiter to 7500 rpm. Engine wise this is all i plan for at the moment taking the existing mods into consideration and the above planned, should be a reasonable spec.
• Suspensions wise im happy with the current set up the only modification i have done to date is the rear cup shocks upgrade as shown in this post: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/rear-dampers-cup-rears-on-standard-182.796394/#post-11173308
• A big aim of mine is to use it! I have booked a Renault sport track day at bedford on the 12/08/16 and then the Santa pod rwyb on the 13/08/16. • To maintain the car professionally and frequently. To date the first thing i done when i purchased the car was to book it in at two techs in dartford for a full service and cambelt,dephaser,water pump etc for piece of mind. I cant praise there service enough great guys!

In summary the car went from 178bhp to 187.5bph. torque 153.8lbft to 162.8lbft. The biggest difference is the low down torque and smoother power delivery

New discs and pads on! Went smoothly with some minor filing and shims removed. Also discovered the car has stealth braided lines all round which is a bonus!

Brake spec: Ferodo ds2500 large type pads, Brembo hc discs and braided lines all round with high quality fluid.

Great first trackday at Bedford on the 12th! It was the renault sport organised track evening on the west circuit and it was a great evening. The car was super impressive aswell, the new brake set up worked perfectly with no fade at all that i could feel after each 20 minute stint. Great tuition which helped learn the circuit at the start of the evening. A couple of photos below, i will upload more when the official renault sport photos are available. Upgrades planned after the day are: Tyres potenitally federal rsr or toyo r888 and strip the rear of the car more.
