Clio 182 Trophy New Daily/Project...

Bit of a delayed thread this one as I bought the Trophy in December 2014. Ive have fancied one of these for years after having a 172 Cup for 5 1/2 years and a 172 Full Fat for 2 years. Initially found this one on ebay 10 days before Christmas, sent a few texts asking the usual questions and then the listing disappeared. I then got a message saying that someone put a £250 deposit down and then couldnt have it so it was offered to me £3450 to pick up from Brighton by the end of the weekend just before Christmas.

Anyways seemed a good propostion as it had 2 owners, 65,000 miles on the clock nearly full service history and all old MOT's, front Sach's refurbished in 2012, cambelt/dephaser & aux belt done in 2013 by DTM (the guy I bought it from paid £5995 for it in October 2013 from DTM Newcastle) New MOT with all brakes replaced & recent service, mint interior, standard apart from Milltek cat back exhaust and ITG panel filter in oe airbox. Got it for £3400 in the end and drove it home from Brighton to Norwich to add to the collection of 3 Renault's already lol

Didnt tell the Mrs that i had bought it as she would have thought a collection of 4 cars is a little excessive lol so hid it in my folks garage for a while ;-)

Found abit of time to start checking the Trophy over, noticed the front part of the wheel arch liners were missing N/S/F and damaged O/S/F so sourced some good second hand ones to fit for now, also replacement locking wheel bolts as I only had 3 and N/S/F didnt have one.

Also bought some new mats, arch liner plug fixings and Ipod/phone lead for the oe stereo and rear wiper.

Got Trophy HPI'd before I bought it, came back fine. Think timing of the sale helped, have seen some go for less than mine just not original.
