RS Clio 182 Trophy Welsh Weekender 2025

Well, that was a fantastic weekend of incredible roads, scenery and people. The cars were pretty cool, too. Not too shabby considering it is their 20th anniversary this year.

In all the years I have been running the event, this has probably been my favourite and most memorable. It was an absolute pleasure to meet and greet new folks and to welcome back familiar faces. This year, we enjoyed a better starting location, private hotel with lunch on the lake, light traffic over the course of the weekend, and many of the roads had new tarmac. Despite having to make a last minute route alteration at the hotel on the evening before we started, it all went well. I think it was also the first time that we didn't lose a single car over the entire 400-odd miles we covered. It was quite the sight as the red snake made its way from north Wales to south Wales. A special shout out goes to those who travelled in from afar; Jersey and Northern Ireland. Especially DS... what a legend. Travelling over from Northern Ireland, Trophy suffers a seized caliper hours before the ferry, sources a replacement, but the brakes won't bleed and he is unable to make it. Yet, there he is the following evening having come over on a later ferry in a different car, just to join us for a meal. Legend. In the morning, we all set off on day 2 of the drive and DS heads back to the ferry to return home.

Probably more photos and videos to come, but I've got work to do. :ROFLMAO:
