clio 182 trophy

Car  audi B5 rs4
Im looking for one of these at the moment i have a deceent budget, does anyone know where i can source a good one from? ive checked the usual places, i just thought i'd best check here aswell.

cheers

Pistonheads, auto trader & ebay are the main places tbh.
Also check over on cliotrophy.

Theres one for sale on auto trader for less than £6000,46k though.

Dont pay over the odds there all dropping like stones

I (personally) wouldn't bother with a dealer. The Trophy's tend to have been well looked after, so do your research and buy private, saving yourself a decent amount of cash.

cheers for the info, is there anything in particular i should be looking out for (problems) and how much should i pay for a good example?

cheers

There have been a few mentioned for sale on cliotrophy.co.uk, one of which is a cat D, so beware. Again there is a section on Trophy problems, the only one I think I had was a squeaky passenger seat (very common) but is resolved with some grease.

I bought my Trophy in Jan'08 with 37k on the clock and all been ok so far. Even better since it had a new exhaust and remap by K-tec. Great motor and love it to bits.

whats the crack with the suspension. my 182 cup packed had noticeably deteriorated suspension at 52k miles before it was written off. ie diving under braking etc that wasnt there from new.

do these sachs just get regassed?

There is some info on cliotrophy.co.uk of a company that will service the sachs suspension for £140 each. Seems rare though that anyone gets it done.

If i bought one, i'd make sure the pins hadnt been tampered with....

I'd be more concerned with checking they were pinned correctly from the factory. Guy on cliotrophy found the dampers set differently right to left from the factory. Nothing wrong with unpinning the dampers, they were designed to be adjustable, so whats the problem?

Hi Mate.

Id say check the usual places like Pistonheads etc.
Good luck mate with finding one, Id Love one tbh!
