Clio 197, best absorbers for fast road use.

Car  Clio RS Mk2 PH1&PH2
Hello guys, the shock absorbers (KYB) from my Clio 197 they need to be replaced, any suggestion? I woul like to keep std system (not coil over). The Clio 197 cup absorbers are diferent than non cup?

Thanks

Are you running or planning to run lowering springs?

Standard non-cup shocks are fairly ok. The Cup ones can be a bit crashy over rougher B-roads

Standards are spot on, my mates 197 is really capable on track and surprises loads of people given its stock with the exception of being stripped out, the stock parts on RS models do seem pretty much spot on.

The genuine items are a bargain too!

I moved from 197 non cup to 200cup all round and it's extremely stiff for a road car, I sometimes wonder if I would have been better going for 197 cup or non cup setup instead.
