Clio 197 gets track day awards..

Track & Race car magazine call the Clio 197 the best trackday car, beating Mini GP, Megane 225 etc.

Of more serious machinery, including the new Caterham and other track specials the 197 Cup beat them all! It got the second best lap time.

Interestingly they said there could be an SVA kit in the pipeline.

I might get one at the end of the year when prices go down. My dealer has a demonstrator with 8,000 miles for £14.8k, far too much IMO.

Exactly, but they are imports after all. I would rather walk into a Renault dealership and show them the import price and see what deal they can do!

My problem is that I'd want one with all the xtras, so that would push the price further up, and I'd have to have those Recaros when they're released too - it all starts getting a tad too expensive. For the money, I'd rather have a second hand Impreza STi

round the track, the 197 was sooooooooo much better than my old 172.
The brakes and suspension are just awesome!

The recaros should be stock, they make the car look so good and feel fantastic.

Was a very impressive lap times realy from both cars.

SVA kit was in the pipeline for the Mk2 one apparently its in the same pipeline that the 172 Cup tunning brocure is most likly.

Itb woulnd't be difficult to make it road worthy just the lights need sorting making a loom up wouldn't be difficult.

I hate the Magnetti s**t they put in the Cup cars, shame that. I just want to see a Cup with the same suspenson changes.
