I've never seen one before. Nice though.

But... adding more weight to an already portly car? Hmm

I guess there's the Cup for those that think like me.

Imo, thats what should've been standard spec like the 1*2. Having said that the cabasse radio is a fecker if your planning on changing it.

With only a 20kgs saving on the 197 cup, it should be ashamed to carry the Cup name, real Cups save 80+....... I think 197 cheap is more appropriate, think 182 ;)
 
197 cup = i care about driving and money in the bank more than things I dont use even in the car I have that already has them ;)

Older 197, bin suspension for coilovers = Money in the bank, and more focused than a Cup, with the added bonus of keyless entry + AC ;)

Hell, yeah! They should do a 197R version - get rid of the back seats too. :cool:

Still think the 1*2's look a nicer car though....

Nope. The Standard seats are VERY good. One of the best non branded sportseats i've sat in. The Recaro's in the 197 are fabric covered.
 
New 197 cup, spec I want (a/c, recaros, spoiler, white - which imo looks better on Cups than non-cups) and still cheaper than older 197 because finance rates on new cars were so much better at the time than on second hand cars, so money in the bank (smaller deposit) AND full waranty ;)

Indeed. My sister has a 182, and when parked next to my 197 it has 0% presence. The rear arches are sooooo skinny. Its all about the flaired bodywork ;)
 
Yeah, they have wider rear arches and big wings... but IMO, the 182 still looks the meaner, leaner car.

;) I bought it outright, so finance deals werent needed. Also still have warranty, but my car never goes to Renault, the perks of being best mates with Steve @ Birchdown ;) Also on my wish list was black headlamps, they make the front end more agressive imo

Do agree on the spolier though, looks much better on White. :)
 
anyone got the pic of the 182 next to the 197? shows how much more aggressive the 197 is over the 182 ;)

i personally like the porsche just out of view. but i'll settle for my 197.
