Camera on the floor and ultra wide angle lens imo, or from above tends to look pretty mint to
a very welcome addition to the 197 family, not a massive fan of the satin inserts, but i can imagine it would work well with blue and black (but not red). The leather looks great and i'd be well up for that and the 6 CD changer in my car.
Also, even though the extras add weight, not every 197 owner (such as me and probably quite a lot of other owners) races the car all over the place, i'd still own a 197 if it was 0-60 in 8 secs to be honest, based upon the image, kit and value for money.
I would also be very surprised if an R27-R was never released, i can imagine them bringing this or another special edition out when the mk3 comes towards the end of production, or perhaps they are waiting to see how the R26-R is received.
In summary, the 197 is the best Clio ever produced, perhaps the best car in the whole wide world :rasp:

I have to say I do love the 197. 172/182 owners - get the f**k over it TBH. The 197 makes the 182 look like a shed. Cup this, kilos that. The next thing we know there'll be a 197 vs. 197 Lux thread in racing tales. "No way you kept up with a standard 197 in your Lux mate, he wasn't trying TBH"

nope, saving my money for now. It my be on the cards for a refurb after the winter period.
I think personally Roy, it wouldn't be ideal for your type of driving. ie: autobahn burn ups cross continental back to germany/england. I think the 6th gear would wind you up plus the full economy!! Nut buy one anyway as they are sexy as fook!
I would like ot see the up close pics fo the wheels. What is the wheel finish like? Loks fab in that picture. lovely frnech styling. Looks so smart with nice lines. Not complicaged at all. love it.
It needs those massive gaps - the rear diffuser produces 70kg of downforce, and the car weights 1240kgs!! The cup set up lowers it by 7mm though if this helps
