if the rail isn't seeing the correct fuel pressure straight away you're going to see a long crank, as Mark said do a leak off test to take the injectors out of the equation

You’ve started about 3 of these threads and every time people tell you to check the injectors.

I just meant, that if an injector is failing there would be other symtoms. Or am i wrong?
I had the exact same problem when my high pressure fuel pump died and started taking injectors with it, the rail wasn't seeing enough fuel pressure so would crank all day long before it eventually would sometimes fire sometimes not. Brake cleaner would always start it.

leakoff test will take 5 minutes and confirm if its an injector or not, if it is, drain the fuel filter and look for metal swarf under a light to check the high pressure pump.

when its running does it hold full throttle in 5th with no issues or does it throw up the fuel system warning light and loose power?

Whats the state of the error code, minimum or maximum? More to it than just the code. It will be leak off test time

Definitely injectors goosed or high pressure fuel pump on the way out. This was the first symptom I had of my cars eventual death.

As above, do a leak off test on all injectors and also drain the fuel filter (plug on bottom) and inspect for metal filings. If no metal then invest in injectors. If metal then £££ pump and injectors, £700 in parts to repair minimum and probably 2 days labour.

I think my repair ended up cheaper than the pump and injectors would have cost lol....

We have a dci that does that. Every now and then it cuts out and we use easy start to get it going again. We should just ditch it but some how we just keep using it. It only happens in hot weather.

Is there an average data that the computer could use if i disconnect the sensor? I mean can i start the car with the connector disconnected?

No idea, 2nd hand rail sensor is dirt cheap i would just replace it

Do a leakoff test on the injectors

If they come back alright then drain the fuel filter into a black spray paint cap and look for metal particles. If that's fine then replace the rail sensor or HPP sensors
