Clio 200: Eibach springs.

Anyone had any experience with them?

I'm looking at a set (possibly) if they're not super harsh. They give a 20mm drop, which is perfect for me as the H&R's are 40mm+.

Thanks.

When I had my 200 I had issues with lowering springs/coilovers to my 200 as it had new style top mounts which are smaller than the old style 197 mounts which the springs/coilovers were designed for.

Some people just took the risk and fitted them in the hope the wouldn't move, but personally I thought that was unsafe. Not sure if Eibach etc have released a spring for the newer top mounts yet?

I can't see how a small top mount could fit in a big cup without moving? Thats not fitting it properly imo, seen the same setups I tried on the 200 fitted to a 197 and that was ok because it had the older big top mounts that fitted snuggly in the spring.

Just my opinion, up to the OP if he thinks it's safe.

Yeah, they've changed the design for Cup chassis cars from mid-2011 onwards. It gives you two options to choose from when you order the H&R's or Eibachs.
