Hi, can any one confirm that this new joint shouldn't have this play in it before it goes back together?
I bought cheap joints off of flea bay and am now starting to regret it

Didn’t think so! I was expecting it to be some sort of roller bearing but looking at the old one it isn’t so just wanted to make sure. I’ll stop being tight and buy some decent joints

Worst thing you could have done is buy from Ebay

The OE ball joints from renault are made by OCAP and there is a guy on the 197/200 forum that sells uprated ones that have a very good write up.

It’s just me being a tight arse and trying to penny pinch, I’ll be moving the car on soon so was worth the gamble. Fortunately am getting a refund on the eBay ones. I have messaged Rene and will get a pair from him
