Clio 56 plate 1.5dci lowering by 40mm. How will it change the ride/handling?

  2x Clio mk3 1.5dci
Hello, i have a clio 1.5dci 56plate and was thinking about lowering it by 40mm as it looks like a monster truck so just want to drop it down enough so it looks right but is still useable. so i have a quick fue questions
1. How much firmer will the ride be?
2. Will it look right?
3. Will it hit any speed bumps ect?
4. Will i be able to drive it of the average curb without smacking the bottom? (drives hard to get out of in rush hour lol)
Here bellow is the link to my fb if you want to have a look :)

Saying 40mm i would guess apex as well?

Apex are known for a crashy ride, Im not sure what springs are available for your car but Eibach are much better springs.
