Clio Clutch Question

I test drove a 2003 clio 1.4 mk2 yesterday and I know cars feel different but the clutch seemed quite hard and quite short.

Is this a problem?

Im used to driving an 07 fiat grande punto which was bought new

Cheers, is there anyway to loosen it or extend it?

If it costs lots then I'll just live with it
