Clio cup / (182) as company car

Hi guys n gals looking for a bit of advice. My employer is changing co car rules and I now have to have one - nice I know. Im interested to hear any views on the 172 cup as a regular long distance car. My employer reckons they can still get me one!

Ive owned the new Civic type r and the old Integra type R, much prefered the Integra for fun but wouldnt want to do weekly 3hr drives in one - do you think Id struggle with cup / be better off with a 182 ?

My employer limits my choices to ford, vauxhall, vw and renault. any help much appreciated !!

Prob better off with a 182 coz of all the gizmos but your more than likely gonna get stung more with tax rules etc (or at least your company will) ;)

Would not choose a cup for regular long distance or for the lack of air con in summer. I chose a golf myself, supremly comfy in GTI trim which is what you want really for a m-way cruncher.

Would not chose a 182 as it aint big enough

I chose the Cup as a company motor - but I get an allowance so I own it.

Ive done approaching 30k in 11 months and have loved every mile!!

The Cup is obviously a bit harsher than the other options but I personally like the sort of hyped up feel you get from driving a car like that. It not too harsh which is the key thing - not as harsh as an Integra!! Motorway journeys are a doddle - youre just a bit more awake than you would be in a rep mondeo or something!!

Now with the arrival of the 182 - with Cup pack, all the toys etc... youre getting a lot of motor for the money, and in a way the best of all worlds, this is probably your best option. (Unless you really hanker for the Old School driving experience)
