Do you think £8,900 is too much to pay for a 2003 reg Clio cup in mint condition, one owner and a private plate with 14,700 miles on the clock. Need your knowledge people. Selling the Saxo VTS and buying a Clio Cup!!! Cheers
If its totally standard, then yes i'd say that was too much. Even at dealer prices.
Look in the for sale section, bound to be one in there for sale. I mean there was one a week or so ago which was fully track prep'd and tuned, and that was going for about £9k.

I'm selling mine soon, almost identical by the sounds of things..Dec 03, CUP plate, 16k, extremely mint etc etc, and it will be about a grand less than that, £8900 seems waaaay to high.
I bought a 2002 51 plate full fat with 31k on for 6500 about 4 months ago. It has double the miles and is a year older but it doesn't justify the 2500-3000 price hike at todays values as mine is probably worth a bit less now (if it was standard )
Just keep checking the trader every day mate as it's not just updated on a Thursday as people can submit their cars online.
Thanks for your help everyone. The car has a private plate worth £800, its *** CUP at the end of it. If I was to offer him £8,500 and he accepted would that still be well over priced. The car is mint though so it may be difficult to find one in this condition within sensible distance from me. Thanks again.
Traders are generally more expensive. There are plenty of Cup's over 9k for sale by traders and even more at Renault! Buying a private 53 reg shouln't really make a difference because there still should be a good few months warrenty left on it.
