Clio Cup Brakedown - READ good story

Morning all

On Friday night I managed to damage the gearbox/clutch. Whilst accelarating hard in reverse the front wheels locked spinning the car 180 !! Starting the car in neutral was the same as starting the car in gear.

A call to AA had a van there in 10 mins !! The nice AA chap said he couldnt fix the car and would request a low loader. He was prepared to wait with the car and arrange its recovery to my dealer 10 miles away. I happily left the car with him.

2 hours later I am walking down my local highstreet jto the pub when my car flys past me with 2 guys in the car. I called AA who said whilst loading the car the gearbox freed itself so they decided to drive the car, obviously without my knowledge or permission.

The dealership on Saturday rung to say the car was ok, but they will do some tests on Monday and speak to Renault technical. Additionally he said did I know an alloy had been kerbed recently as alloy dust was still on the tyre !!

I know have a claim for a new wheel and tracking with the AA. The customer service dept dont want to know about the chaps driving the car, all they could do was apologise on the phone, I asked to speak to a manager and told I was talking to her !Ooops.

Do I have a negligence claim against the AA? and has anyones Cup / 172 done the same in reverse.

Thanks

Jase:mad:
