clio cup with a sunroof???

saw this on eBay and thought we cheap but clio cup with a sunroof? I didn't think they came with them, is that right! Here's the item number 261599615764

A check on the plate says it is, but yes they didn't come with a sunroof. It's either been re-shelled or had the sunroof added later.

You couldn't spec a sunroof on a 172/182.

It could of course be a Cypriot import etc. Their markets and options were completely different to ours.

Pretty sure it's Luke who said that the managers or something get cars early before they are sold properly over here and can spec anything they want.

You could not spec a sunroof for a UK car.

The one in the ebay link (just looked) is an aftermarket one anyhow. Although in true clio fashion, it looks like it's been siliconed up due to leaking! lol

That one might be but...

It's possible that it was a pre-production car. i.e. we get cars in the UK before the 'main' ones come, and the product managers can order anything on them.

The shells (standard shells and Sport shells) are kept in completely different factories.

Also have you never noticed in 1*2's how if you've had the heaters on in your car on a cold night, and then the condensation forms on top, you can see the outline of a sunroof? Must just be the top skin that's different.

I have noticed that yeah. I assumed it was something like the headlining insulation being the same accross all models because they're French and cheap.

It's the skin underneath that makes it look like that when it's damp
