Difference between UK and Imports is the imports don't have an factory fitted alarm and only a 12 month mechanical warranty ( thats a bit of a grey area ) They are all built in the same Alpine factory . Plus Imports are usually a couple of grand cheaper to buy .I saw a Meganne 225 with the uprated cabasse cd player at Motorpoint £15,000 Uk price was about £20,000 . Thats also the difference ,lol . Mine a 52 plate Cup (September 02, one of the first) and has a lock on both sides.
Maybe they changed it at the same time they changed the orange side repeaters to clear?

Yeah I`m sure that 52 reg was the last with both door locks and orange indicators...Mine`s an 03 and has 1 lock and clear indicators

Think its early 2003 thats the change over, although there will always be stock around that was registered after this that had both locks on.

Try Rip off Holland instead! The cheapest 2nd hand 172 Ph2 is around 15,000 Euro (10,000 pounds) from 2001 with 40,000-60,000 kms on the clock! 182's sell for around 20,000 Euros 2nd hand!

The good news is that if I ever sell up and move back to the UK I will be able to upgrade to a nice 182 instead!

I have a 182 cup (2005) only have a lock on the passenger side. Not import!

52 plate (sept 02) with lock on both sides, bit pointless though! battery went dead in the key a few weeks back, no probs, i thought, open the doors on the lock...doesn't turn the alarm off!! had to get Dad to bring the spare key!! fortunalty was only 10 mins from home, but previous nite was out in rural kent!!
