Clio DCI wont start!

Your fuel pump isn't likin that either by the sound of the noise it made on switch off.

Defo an injector f**k as the engine wouldn't bounce like that. The amount of smoke also indicates to much I burnt fuel.

If you have enough money, take the plunge and get a recon set.

Edit: that sounds like a injector chuff.

Mine popped one off on the motorway and chucked loads of white smoke out.
did you clean the injector bores out before reffitng the injectors? And torqued down to 30NM?

Back leak 7.7 cc/min on idle is fine (as what I can see on my injetor test result document). I dont know the exact value where it gets wrong but at least you can compare.

Yup everything was cleaned out and torqued down properly the only with injector no4 is that it move in its seat when not tightened down due to having to drill it out. But I've put a metal shim round it to keep it in place. There's a diesel specialist down the road from me which could recon or check all my injectors.

Take the injectors off and get the flow tested and cleaned by that diesel specialist.

Shouldnt cost much, I got my old set done for £50 next day turn around. Had another set recon for £180 and worked fine till the pump shat itself.

Imo if its not injectors , it's valve timming/clearances. Ie an exhaust port not closing properly

I'll ring up tomorrow and see how much they charge. I ran some diesel cleaner through when the light first came up. Hopefully it's just that, cars been of the road for a month!

Locked the flywheel with the tool at TDC then put a bolt through into the camshaft and lined up the fuel pump to match. Is that right?

Still having problems with the car.
Ive recently been having a lot of trouble with renault clio 1.5 dci. First of all injector 4 was below minimum threshold, but ignored it for a while. Until one the engine stop light started flashing and it cut out, on starting it back up it chucked out lots of black smoke and wouldnt rev over 2k. Replaced the injector but had to drill out due to being siezed since then its had a new head gasket, turbo and fuel filter.
The problem now is that it will only start with easy start, when starting without it runs for a couple of seconds and then dies. 2 faults codes that are present on my scanner are df002 and df132.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
