Clio dynamique tick over issue?

Hello my girlfriend has a 1.2 16v dynamique 51. I serviced it when she bought it about 2month ago. changed plugs, filters etc.

Just wondering why the engine is ticking over at 500rpm.. surely it should be 1,100rpm I drive a diesel and thats ticking over more then the clio

any ideas people? Carb need adjusting?

Tick over should be around 750 rpm mines about 500 as well though, and it is multi point injection not carb.

Oh must be how they are then. Injectors might be foooked then?

you sure you're reading the dash correctly, they tick over at 1 notch below 1000rpm ie 750rpm

very quiet on tick over.. sounds as if it isnt even running ill read it tonight just to double check..

yeah ticking over a just below 1000rpm.. so must be fine cheers.

They are very quiet engines. Especially if you're use to a diseasle.
