clio handbrake cable

Hi there, my rear brakes were badly worn and were needing replaced badly. I seen a rear axle with discs instead of drums for £70 so I ordered it up as it came with all the pipes etc.

However, the handbrake cable I got with it has been cut. So my question is, do the drum brakes and disc brakes have the same handbrake cable, or are they different?
