clio head skimming?

Quick question, can a 172 head be skimmed with the valves in?

You're not supposed to skim them but they've got a bit of material that can be sacrificed.

You can skim a standard head once or twice and still use a standard cylinder head gasket... depending on how bad the mating face is of course.

yes have done it on diesels but tend to steer clear of doing on 16v unless it was my own!

I'm sure I read a post by Angelworks Ben that said you could skim 1mm off the head to bump up the compression ratio without making any other mods.

I've just done an engine with 422s and wossner pistons, and it had 0.5mm skimmed off the head
