As per usual mine and my wife's luck with our 182's has struck again...
This time it was hers though so it's not all bad here :)
We were on route to Middlesbrough from Norwich, so not a small drive, when as we were passing Hull, her car went into limp mode..... great joy. Now we had this issue with hers in the past due to a frayed cable linking the throttle body to the ECU, but this cable is now about 30 cm long due to a rewire and not trailing around the engine bay like before. The guy who came and towed us home plugged it into his reader and it said throttle body sensor fault. So more garage time for the cars!

Anyone else getting fed up of their cars but doesn't want rid of them?

Hey dude long time no see. It a pain when cars keep failing us, I can sympathise, I had to stop using mine 6 months ago because of the gearbox is in critical condition. Would have been easier to get rid of it on and get another, but just can't bring myself to sell it on.

That's the way it goes though mate, mine has currently run up a £500 bill, driveshaft has decided to go and I'm doing everything else at once [emoji21]

Can you not just take the car to a specialist, especially if it keeps having issues.

This one has been fine for 2 years, and on the one long drive it has done this year is when this happen. Just bad luck this time

It's not bad luck, there is obviously a problem, the only way it will be solved is seeing a specialist.

Who lengthened the cables before?
