Clio main beam not working

On the wifes 1998 Clio 1.4 (facelift model) the main beam doesnt click on when the lever is pulled back, although it works in flash mode (so if the lever is pulled back and held, the main beam comes on) but doesnt seem to "click" into main beam position like every other car ive had! any ideas lads and ladies?

are you doing it with the other lights on as well ??

and also with the car running?

i know on some cars you cant keep them on unless the other lights are on or car is started give that a try.



If not sounds like you have a faulty stalk lever.

yeh this is all with the lights on and the engine running. supposed the stalk is shagged then, is it easy to remove and replace?

should be about 3 screws under the steering wheel

top shud then pull off.

stalk will either be clipped in or screwd into place with a retaining screw.



Wont be that hard to change.
