Clio Mk1 172

Well as the Coupe is turning in to a money pit think im going to sell the Clio Mk1 172 :dapprove: Its Budgie old one that i have had for about half a year ( and spent a few £££ on new parts ) . Coil pack will be going on at the week end to sort a misfire then she will be up for sale :dapprove::dapprove::dapprove::dapprove::dapprove:

New parts that went on were

K-Tec Stelth exhaust cat back (October)

BMC panel air filter (November)

x 4 new MICHELIN PILOT EXALTO PE 2 tyres (November)

New HT 8.5mm leads

Full service oil & filter new plugs , fuel filter, air filter , pollen filter , (November)

So selling the clio mate but for a good cause .
When you get your clutch sorted mate the coupe should be pretty reliable just change your oil + filter every 6k with good oil and make sure you check your oil every 2 weeks as the coupes engine does burn more than average but the 20vt engine is pretty solid if maintained some People on FCCUK are on 200k+ on tuned 350bhp+ engines.
Just out of interest how do you compare the driving experiance of the 20vt vs the clio?

Clio is a better handling car no question but in a straight line coupe would kill it even in std 220 bhp form .

Well im selling the Clio so that kind of tells you but there great and it would be very hard to say one was better than the other . I would say the clio has more feel and is an amazing drive in every way but the coupe feels special and full of passion and to drive excites me more than anything i have had .

When I had it i,

Changed the rear discs, pads and bearings.
Changed the gearbox as the old one span a bearing.
New clutch.
New front discs and pads.
New front shocks
Cleaned it to within an inch of it's life!

Yeah was very sound when i got it and have kept it that way ( not cleaned it as much as i should have had sorry Budgie ) and just had full service, new K-Tec cat back Exhaust , BMC panel airfilter , and new PE2 Rubber and Red Top Race 4.4 Kg Race battery .

Bargain at £1700!

They really are dropping in value, or atleast people are devaluing them. Im just going to the keep mine forever tbh, as theres not much point selling it, especially in a few years.

New NGK Iridum spark plugs
New fuel filter
New pollen filter
New Magnecor 8.5mm HT leads
New Air filter BMC one

Was all done buy me so was just the parts £ 200 ish

I'd love to do a service that full, infact I may well do just before summer, except swap oil and filter (as its just been done) for GB oil...
