Clio mk2 1.2 tensioner

Hey,

What's the correct way to set these? It says to do them up anti-clockwise to the start of the timing window then turn the engine over 6 times then turn it clockwise to the middle of the timing window.

But I've read here that people just do them anti-clockwise into the middle of the timing window then turn the engine and check/adjust to make sure it's in the middle.
