Clio mk2 gear knob thread size

Hey all just wondered what the thread size is for this, i'm getting an aftermarket gear knob but the guy who makes them drills and threads them and needs to know what size it is, he doesn't do grub screw gear knobs, any help would be much obliged

Bump, surely someone has a spare knob laying about, just need to see what size bolt would fit inside it so i can tell the guy who makes them, my gearknob is stiched to the gaiter so i dont want to remove the factory stitch to check the sizing on it

Good luck finding "threads" to put your knob onto when you pull the other one off (no jokes intended however bad that sounds)

It doesn't pull off - you have to saw it, fight with it, saw it some more and then pull like f**k!

Then you you need an interior valet done afterwards - makes a real mess

^^ this,

there is a plastic ball bonded to a rough surface at the top of the knob,
and the bit you hold onto is like a rubber coating on said ball.

there is no simple way to get it off, just have to give the cnut greif with mole grips and a saw until it comes off,
then get a knob with a grub screw!

sorry to disappoint dude! but it is french :p

Ahhh, its a twingo my car not a clio but i'm assuming its all the same, may ask the guy if he can make me a knob with a grub screw attachment, or just tell him the diameter i need the hole to be and then do the rest myself ghetto style lol

9/10 aftermarket gearknobs come with a wee tiny screw kit that "clamps" the gearknob onto the top of the stick

Just make sure the one you get is compatible with the lift-up reverse :)
