Clio Mk2 ph1 gear knob

My gf has just bought a mk2 ph1 clio but the gear knob is slightly warn. Are they easy to change? If so, how does the original come off?

they come off just give it a pull and a twist

Someone I know did it buy using mole grips on it and twisting it off and the others have all cut theres off.

i had to cut mine off! try putting a knife under the plastic to wedge it off and scrape the glue off

This question has been asked a million times with exactly the same answers
1. If lucky a hard twist and pull should do it
2. Mole grips tightened and the twist
3. A sharp stanley knife and cut the bugger off
