Clio MK3, UPC

  '06 Clio III 1.2 16V
I was wondering, are MK3 Clio UPC units (or all UPCs for that matter) coded. In other words, if I bought one from a breaker could I just fit it?

Thanks. :approve:

No they aren't coded but you need to make sure you get the right version as some have turning lights and others don't... Obviously if you have these lights you need the adequate UPC

Thanks I know this sounds rude/stupid. But do you know for certain? Have you done it before?

I heard something before about turning lights but I don't fully understand, I'm pretty sure I don't have them. How would I be able to tell I have the right part?

I'm having pretty much the same issues described by these guys:

Trust me, they are 100% not coded and yeah I've done one or two in my day to day job before.

Turning lights are activated when the steering when is turned beyond 15° either way and the dipped beam is on. To see if you have them just turn the lights on and turn the wheel... If they come on then you have them.

Aha! I understand, I thought it may have meant the lights on the side of the doors. I definitely do not have turning lights then!

Also another question, how do you remove relays? I can't seem to pull them out to check them.

So for example, is this an appropriate unit?

Also have you seen many cases of water ingress to the UPC? I complained to renault about it but apparently it's not a 'known' fault.

Easy enough but you will need a few small screw drivers to undo the press tabs that hold it firmly in place.
