Clio MTV

Hey guys, im new to this site and was just looking for some information..

im 20 and currently driving a clio mtv 1.2. (im a student so building up some no claims b4 i move onto a 172/182 etc cuz of insurance)

just wondering if people had any information on this model?!
its a 'special edition' has differnt interior, cd player etc. was just wondering how many were made or that, i know its only a 1.2, nothing special but any information wud be appreciated

I thought they were sports blue - they have silver squares or something like that (stickers) on them - I think they have them on the boot & on the side ??

Deffo not imports !

theres one near my mums. theyre just 1.2 with stickers down side, different interior and maybe came with CD player but thats about it.

I bought one new in 2000, they are not imports, they were full UK. Nothing special indeed, dodgy looking interior, CD player, MTV logos down the side and on the rear hatch, double-optic headlights as per 172 ph1 though.

yeah its just a first car for me to get from A to B.
its cheap to run and ideal for now

mines metallic blue, have only seen other ones in a gold/yellow colour

I never like the interior much & only do 1.2 8v

i used to have one in straw yellow was more a gold colour though lol

very slow 1.2 8v engine 60-65bhp iirc.

same as a 1.2 apart from stickers interior and headlights. as said came in various colours.

I think they only came in the blue (as I mentioned, and what he's got) that gold colour and silver - I think the silver one may have had purple stickers on it too (don't quote me on that)

Iirc they were just a speacial edition, not sure where the "Music Television" bit comes in though, unless they had an upgraded stereo or something like that ?

Guy I used to work with had a Clio MTV, in a gold kinda colour. Apparently it had an uprated sound system. His was a 1.2 as well.

Apart from it being a specific kind of trim, thats all I really know about em.

I think they are roughly the same as a Clio Grande or something like that. No alloys or anything but just an uprated stereo.

It'd be 60bhp cos the only 1.2 8v engine Renault has used in ages is the 1.2 diet engine which has a massive 60 rampaging french stallions.
