Clio OEM sat nav question

Stumbled over a mk2 ph2 at the scrappys with Renault Sat Nav Fitted. The dashboard itself is nackered but the screen is in good condition with its surround. The Buttons in Front of the screen have been Taken and the actual sat nav unit has been taken (its screwed into the boot). My question is that if i buy the upper dash from renault (which i understand is about 300 quid) and i get the screen and the wiring about the car can i get a renault sat nav unit out of any car? IE a laguna? Just something im thinking about. How much could i expect to pay for the sat nav unit for the boot on its own? as i can get the screen and wiring for next to nothing. So then its just the dash for 300 and however much for the sat nat unit.

Not sure whether it'll work or not but its cheaper and it'll be a better sat nav if you just bought a tomtom of some sort. Not a much fun or a cool looking but hey ho.
