clio rally,



right putting a (to do) folder together for my car, what engine does the rally clio have? also kit wheels ectect.........

1.6 16V engine same sort of things as the Clio 1.6 16V has it just revs to 9k (I think) so strong bottom end throttle bodies cams head work race spec engine 220hp or so. Geabrox is a specal sequenchial I belive which mean the shafts etc give a wider front end track.

I'd say engine spec would be pushing over £10k

Its not a body kit front wider panels for the wider track.

There also a 172 Cup rally car basically a worked on 172 with cable throttle body engine and induction etc worked suspension changed

Also there the Group N clio basically similar to the rally one.

so how much am i looking for a 1600 engine? remember its going to be a replica so not going into 10,000's lol

I'd use the JC3 not your box its a bit stronger.

Personally I'd not bother with a 1.6 conversion stick a 172 engine in it least wth soem tunning you'll get 200hp which isn't that far off the 220hp of the S1600 race engines the 1.6 would costs a fortune to tune to over 150hp.

1.6 16V engine along with box etc say £1k its a load of work a 172 isn't much extra work plus you get the bigger brakes and wider track suspension so its seems worthwhile.

IF you wanted a S1600 type engine ballence the 1.6 bottom end and get throttle bodies and cams and head work thats going to set you back £6k ish though for 180hp or so IMO you could least use the 172 box which is stronger but why bother 172 engine is that much power before tunning.

Nah man he want rally spec iinnnitt?!

Here's an idea...get rid of that junk 1.2 and buy a 172 and put a 1600 kit on it,far cheaper.
