clio RR

Car  Arctic 182 + yozza
Hi guys,

just got back from an RR day, 182 made 164.4 ATF.

I know that's roughly what they make but the RR staff said it was running very very rich and thats why im also getting poor mpg.

would a map sort this?

if so, im based in the essex area, where would you recommend to go?

many thanks

Poor mpg could mean you need a new lambda. Engine-dynamics in kelvedon specialise in renaults and can do a map(generic) for about £160.

Edit: forgot about the rstuner, god knows how.

RS tuner, may be a good thing for you to invest in.

You can use it to remap your ECU, with a very got generic map, but you can also use the box as a diagnosics machine so it will tell you the fault codes etc.

oh ok, sorry im newish to the scene, where can i get an rs tuner from?

im not mechanically minded is it idiot proof (ish?) like a bluefin style device?

thanks guys, i also read up a bit about problems with the lambda sensor?

could this be throwing the emission figures out? i remember it came on the day i bought the car, took it back and they said 'they sorted it' 10mins later so did they just turn it off i wonder?

well iv just replaced my lambda sensor and im still only getting 26.1 mpg with steady driving so it might be something else lol

really? think im gona get it on a diagnostics somewhere and see then.

hopefully a map of some sort with solve it

Sounds like a fault more than mapping issue, but if so the figure seems high.

Take it to a specialist, if it's mapping that's required then I'd go to Chip Wizards.
