Clio RS 200 exhaust noise

Bought a 200 and the exhaust seems louder than I thought it would be.. Not complaining I quite like it.. Some nice pops now and then.. Had a look under the car and everything seems to be standard? The first one I test drove wasn't as loud as this though.. Do they get louder with millage?

Has it got the centre silencer? Common mod removing this. I have it removed on mine, pops and is more raspy

thats all on emissions, removing a silencer just lets a bit more noise out. Should have about a foot long bit of pipe welded in place in the centre if you have had it removed. If not you'll see a small box

Are you sure its the exhaust. 200 are known for cracking manifolds.

The 200 exhausts do get louder with mileage. But as others have said it could be a silencer removal.

I've done 11k in mine now & it pops in every gear, especially when cold.

Pritty sure I can see the silencer box so hasn't been removed! It's done 28k.. Manifold cracking is worrying though
