Can anyone tell me some info on these?

Since i sold my 172 to get my house i have been running around in a transh*t van but its so slow i feel like killing myself on every trip. Im working on the g/f to sell her punto and buy something faster for both of us. I have looked a punto gt turbos, saxo vtss, 106 gtis but they are all too much money to insure.

We have got prob 2-2.5k very max to spend.

So what im after is peoples opinions of them, and plenty of stats (performance,insurance etc).

looks alright reckon. Get a valver mate. Nice of you to leave us ya post code. lol

valver insurance wont be much more than the RSi mate as there is only 1 group between them. some companies quote the valver as a higher insurance group though depending on your circumstances. they are as quick as a valver to 50mph but its game over after that. quality little cars imo, very torquey. look like a 1.4 so no one knows what they are really. 110 bhp and 0-60 in 8 to 9 seconds. top out at 115 according to rens figures but they do more than that. Engines in them seem pretty strong. there a volvo/ren lump so parts are easy to get and for renault not all that expensive. pretty bad on petrol though. my valver was much better on petrol than my RSi was. Id say dont overlook them, itll do everything you need it to.
