Clio Sport 172 Ph1

Hello Guys,

I am wanting to get a car thats quick and looks decent but my budget is about 2k. Would you say these are a good buy? How do they compare with the phase 2 172?

If you think I should get something else. What others cars could you think of?

Thanks People

Just as good as the ph2, without the weight of the luxuries.

fantastic car if you're not too bothered about the facelift and just want a really good drive.

As said above, really.

Cosmetics are the only massive difference. That, and the Ph2 has traction control etc.

Interior is much, much nicer in the Ph2.

Other options for that money? GTi-6? 106 GTi? VTS?

Drive one.

Fantastic cars had mine for over a year now and done just about 13k in it, hasn't put a foot wrong bar a coil pack failure.

Up your budget to 2500 as there's a good few out there at that price.

A mint Sunflower yellow example for 2600 on Ph

Most ph1's are getting tyred now, standard suspension will be getting soft in most cases and little things will be starting to go wrong. but other than that they are a great little cars and very fun and predicatble to drive. Saying that ive just sold mine.

ph1's rule! Find a low mile example and get it checked over by AA or RAC to avoid any nasty suprises imho. BREMBO on here has a 30k ph1 up4 sale 3k iirc.

Why get a low mileage?

You can have mine for £1500 if you want it, But it needs the interior putting back into it.
